A thought has been brewing in my mind about our goalkeepers and it’ll get downvoted a lot but I just want to share it anyway.

Both Ramsdale and Raya aren’t world class keepers and we should get a serious keeper who is as good with his feet as he is with his actual goal keeping abilities.

Raya has shown a great ability to come and catch the ball and he’s decent with his feet, but he has already shown that he has errors within him and his shot stopping ability is average.

Ramsdale, err… I feel like he is overrated, the saves he has made look more spectacular than they should be. If he’s reacted this badly to being dropped then he doesn’t really have the mentality for this club.

They’ve both been helped out massively by our elite defence, which is why they haven’t been exposed as much.

I have no confidence in them in a one-on-one situation and I feel like they will get exposed in the latter stages of the champions league, where we probably will require stand-out performances from either keeper.

TL;DR: both keepers are average and nothing special

If Arteta inevitably goes to City, Barca or Sociedad, I want Thomas Frank to take over, he’s pure class.
