How do they expect you to charge when you’re on a long trip?

Your driving estimate is based on your recent driving history. If your recent driving history was all in town the estimate is going to be wrong. It was quite cold over the weekend, that will also decrease your range. You are driving way to fast in general, but its going to kill your mileage. 93 and 89 dont have a ton of charging. 91 looks somewhat better. I am paranoid, so I always pick a few spots to stop along my route ahead of time. I use abrp and plug share for most if that. Then i use charger specific apps to check availability on the trip itself.

I like evgo better. They have more small stations spread out. I am willing to detour off the highway a little to avoid a line at the really popular just off the highway mall stop.

Ive never felt unsafe at the mass pike rest stops, but you pay a premium for the convince.

The mass pike had a bunch of rest stops with chargers that got decommissioned. Now some have supercharges. They all have gas stations and fast food. Ct has at least one rest stop with a gas station.

Can you just make a schedule on the car itself? And i assume this station doesn’t have idle fees?

I have an older home with a very far back detached garage. If you want it in the garage you will need to trench out ton it or put up an over head wire. Trenching can be very expensive, but you might be able to save some money by digging the trench yourself. I am having mine installed on my house instead because its all hard scaping between my house and the garage. Plus i couldn’t get wifi out to my garage for a smart charger, and i need a smart charger to take advantage of my electric company’s incentive program.

Mine are all posted handicap spaces, so the same laws would apply. If I was in a bind and had no other choice I might use it, but I wouldn’t leave the car.
