That feeling wears off quickly once you have to deal with Tesla customer “service”. Then, when it is out of warranty and simple repaira cost thousands, you really get the regrets…

If your area has one of the rare good service centers, might go better than for most, though.

Yup.

In some cases they will refuse to sell you parts. In other cases even if you find a way to replace the part, it won’t work w/o software unlock that only they can do.

You made the right choice on the Tesla. Service centera are NOT GOOD and you will spend more time with them then you would expect. (Especially having to take car back to have them fix the stuff they said they did, but didn’t…)

Also they don’t always have loaners so it would be quite the hassle.
