The problem with just using AI is that it will have to be trained on subjective and biased data. You see this with social issues where AI is accused of racism because it has used bad data, or it is accurate but the results are uncomfortable.
What if AI is trained on data that biases towards players in the colour red? And it realises it can use that as a bit of an indicator when it’s a close call. Perhaps you could exclude this from it’s scoring system, but you will always be working with subjectivity - even if it’s a machine that’s doing it.
Would be interesting to try but I think you lose transparency by doing this and people won’t be happy when a seemingly random decision is made by a machine.
I’d say champions league to both. Brings in more money eventually due to increased visibility, more glory hunting fans etc.
And I’d say it’s harder based on City’s recent record in both competitions. Over the league season, results balance out and the best team will usually win. In a league then knock out competition anything can happen.
