I bought 6 I believe. Hi-Fi Rush, battlebit remastered, both Ori games, vampire survivors, and brotato.
I’ve already played a little bit of them all, but plan on playing a lot more of a couple of them! Not sure if I like brotato or vampire survivors better yet, but I do plan on finishing the ori games as well as Hi-Fi Rush!
I stream from my 3080 desktop that’s in the other room to my steam deck all the time. Great experience for most games. I also stream it in docked mode hooked up to my 55" OLED tv. That’s how my wife and I play BG3 together. Works great!
I use mine all over the house, including docked on our main TV and it works great! You can even set up moonlight on the deck and sunshine on your gaming PC and just stream games locally to the deck. If you have a decent router, dead by daylight should be no problem when locally streaming either.
Unfortunately pictures on whatever screen you’re viewing it on doesn’t do it justice. If you can go into a best buy or a similar store, they might have a display with all 3 nintendo switches side by side. Mine had that with the switch OLED in the middle and it was the perfect display of the difference between LCD and OLED.
Do you have baldurs gate 3 yet?
Imo they should just name Half-Life: Alyx to HL3. That game lived up to the HL3 name and then some!

I think your expectations are a bit off. 30FPS isn’t the norm. 30 FPS is the minimum playable framerate, for about 95% of games. 40FPS is usually the agreed upon target rate for the deck, as 40fps/40hz screen actually plays quite well.
60 and above is just amazing.
But like, it’s a handheld dude. It uses 25w total MAX. That’s less than most gaming laptop’s gpu alone. For what it does the steam deck is actually pretty insane, performance wise.
