You don’t have to worry about burn-in. You’d have to be playing for literally hundreds or thousands of hours without stopping.
No thanks. CoD is trash nowadays.
Original Decks started preorders in July 2021 but didn’t begin slowly shipping limited stock until Feb 2022 onwards, it wasn’t steadily available/in stock until about October 2022. The first time it was discounted was Mid-March 2023.
I’d be amazed if the OLED models on any sort of sale before Q3-Q4 2024. Even then there may well end up being another refresh or upgraded specification console revealed not long from then so you might get it 10-15% off but not have the latest SD.
I can only help with the 3rd one:
Avoid 64GB unless you plan on buying your own 512/1tb/2tb SSD to replace the internal drive.
My 256gb is listed on eBay for auction due to finish Monday evening. Hoping to get at least £300, listed it during a “80% off final fees” weekend so shouldn’t have to pay too much towards fees.
Was it stolen or did you forget it?
For future purposes, I’d recommend keeping a GPS tag in your steam deck carry case. If you’re using the original case you could potentially stick it the charger bit with something so it’s less likely to be noticed /removed if someone finds or steals your SD.
How many games have you bought on ps5 since launch? How much have you played it?
Why did you sell your steam deck before? Do you have a gaming pc or a significant steam library before?
I’m not one for collecting too many physical media tbh. I’ve only got a handful of blu ray and 4k blu ray.
Dave the diver is tempting me. No other games yet though.
You lost me after ‘received their Steam Deck OLED’
Screen protector is the only thing I put on my Steamdeck because I know I’d be gutted if I got any scratches no matter how tiny or insignificant. Other than that yeah I just keep it bare. Most cases are fugly anyway
Mine is still in the Netherlands too. Ordered within 30 mins on launch day.
I actually listed my steam deck on eBay on Monday with 7 days auction time thinking I’d long have had my OLED by now…
Don’t get too excited mine changed to that three days ago and it hasn’t even left The Netherlands
Works fine for me in UK
Look you can pay full price now for an OLED SD or you can wait until the Winter sale and pay full price then.
Both involve the same amount of money. But one with far less time with the Steam deck
If you can only afford two out of the three just now then Hades and Stardew. Both fantastic games that have colours that really pop and both have dozens and dozens of hours of gameplay to offer you.
But I’d still highly recommend picking up HK when you can afford to
It might be helpful if you include some info, what games have you played and liked/loved before? Any particular genres you like or don’t like?
Will you play handheld or docked or both?
Do you have a budget for your first few games?
Can we not just enjoy what we have right now?
It does so many things right I’m not concerned with any next gen iterations at the moment.
