    Anyway, adhering to a routine oil change interval is going to be far more important than the exact brand that you buy. I generally do 3k miles for conventional and 6-7k for synthetic.

    Mobil 1 is good stuff, I’ve used it plenty of times. When I had an XC90 I swore that it ran better with Royal Purple (totally anecdotal), so I started trying that. At this point I run Royal Purple 0w20 in the Sienna and 5w30 in the LX 470.

    But the reality is that if you buy the correct weight of oil that matches the manufacturer specifications, you are unlikely to go wrong with any brand.

    If you want to he extra anal about it, send a midstream catch to Blackstone Labs when you change your oil.
