1·2 days agoHe’ll have to go back in a few weeks to see if the meds are working to keep the fluid out of his chest. But other than that he’s not going in the carrier for a while if we can help it.

3·2 days agoThe carrier is there because our cat’s been deathly ill. Last few months he’s been going off food, obviously hungry because he comes and yells at us for the 45mins before supper time, just won’t eat. Took him to the vet, nothing seemed wrong with his teeth or tummy. Then my wife said she’d noticed his breathing was quite laboured. They pulled 300ml of fluid from his chest cavity. The possible causes were heart failure, kidney/liver failure, something about proteins 🤷🏾♂️ or cancer.
All his bloods came back in the green. Two ultrasounds showed a bit of something in the chest. So CT scan.Turns out all they can find is a bit of arthritis starting in his spine, but no cause of the fluid. So wee man got shoved in the carrier three days on the bounce, £3500 if I didn’t have insurance for him.
Sorry for triggering your fur baby.

When I arrived at site this morning I kept reminding myself to take a picture. And then nearly drove away before I did.
Here’s it done:

40·3 days agoI’ve been wanting to switch out the buckwheat husk filling in my pillow. So I ordered £14 of the stuff…turns out that I now am in possession of enough buckwheat husk to be a heirloom for my descendants to last to the heat death of the universe…

3·3 days agoYeah, I actually avoid aspartame as much as I can. The whole drinking it to clear the pipes thing was a joke. Well, the drinking it with intent bit, it does in fact destroy my guts.
I build stuff out of stone.
Here’s a picture of something I’ve been working on.
It’s actually completely done, I just keep forgetting to take a picture of it. If my ADHD lets me remember I’ll post a picture tomorrow. I’m going back to site to clear out rubble sacks, no guarantee I’ll remember.

I think those expressions are universal. I’m a stone mason and I do those expressions twice a week minimum.
Idk man…Hello Kitty does do a fair few cross-overs.
Yeah, like if everything was kinda ok, and we weren’t slipping back into global fascism, but it was obvious we were just treading water as a species… that’d be middle ground. We’re definitely not on middle ground.

That’d be a great idea for anyone who has a cat they can pick up. Jin is so skittish that he’ll scratch and bite if you try to pick him up. He’s usually a really gentle boy, enjoys a cuddle, just had a traumatic kittenhood and gets freaked out by being picked up. I had him for 4 years before he’d let me touch him with both hands at the same time.
