I just got my AMD Ryzen 7 version and it seems to be able to do an 8 hour day no problem.

That said, this is my second experience with a Framework. I bought an Intel Core I5 model (13th gen) for my step brother to go to University with back in June. He loves it and has absolutely no complaints for what it’s worth.

  • Posting from my new Framework. For anyone wondering, here’s my specs

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7840U (went for the Ryzen 7 not for the 8 core CPU, but for the improved iGPU)

Ram: KF556S40IBK2-32 Kingston CL40 32GB (2x16GB) kit DDR5 5600 Mhz ram (worked at speed right out of the box. no tweaking necessary)

SSD: Western Digital Black SN770 1TB (got it on sale for much less than Framework sells them for)

  • Not quite the same, but years ago, I was helping a friend move with my Saturn Ion. Car was a 5 speed manual. So me and my friend’s boyfriend are in the car on the way to her new apartment. I’m dealing with the stop and go traffic as best I can. And then her boyfriend starts with this.

“Are you sure this car isn’t an automatic?”

“You do see me shifting and using the clutch frequently, so yes. I’m sure”

“But the shifts are so smooth!”

He had never been in a stick car with a competent driver before. Guy also knew nothing about cars. He was into IT.
