Marvel’s Midnight Suns has a unique turn based combat system that uses decks of cards.
It splits the game up so half the time is a social simulator with your fellow party members, and half the time is the actual fights. So there is a strong character focus as well.
It has a really strong “one more mission” hook for me.
I’m not as techy as many on this forum, but I just assumed it was old, cranked it as high as it could go, and easily got 90fps. Am I missing something on the need for a configuration?
It’s very comfortable to me. Way less cramp inducing than the Switch in handheld mode or older devices like 3DS.
My one complaint is that the ABXY buttons are too far to the side. That gets awkward for my thumb and I need to readjust or hold it in an awkward way after a bit.
I am loving mine. I got the 512GB. I can’t afford a proper up to date gaming PC so it is now the most capable machine I own for running more recent titles. It feels like a magic trick every time I open up something like Diablo IV or Midnight Suns and it just works.
This sub convinced me to check for dead pixels and I have no issues. I have no LCD to compare with but the buttons feel good to me. My headphone jack delivers clean sound. Again I can’t compare the image to an LCD deck, but the image quality impresses me way more than my Switch OLED ever has. As a device it just has a wow factor that the Switch model never gave IMO.
This is extraordinarily unlikely and even if it does happen, you obviously just contact Steam support and they will make it right. I think you’re so excited you’ve psyched yourself out.
Trying to browse the discovery queue keeps nuking my Storefront. It never loads and won’t let me back out.
The only included cable is a charger which is the only cable necessary for the device to work.
But if you want it to connect to another display you need a USB-C to whatever-display-type (probably a USB-C hub with HDMI).
I blew all my actual discretionary money on the Steam Deck itself, but I’m looking at maybe just Marvel’s Midnight Suns as a cheap game to get my start with the Deck.
And maybe I’ll convince the wife she needs Planet Zoo or House Flipper…
Did you have to go anywhere in particular on the site? I have logged in after seeing people say it provides an estimate and mine just keeps saying a date will be provided soon.

No one has a specific shipping estimate unless their console has shipped (which seems to be very few people). It’s in your account’s purchase history.
The unlimited models has a general estimate of 3-5 days. LE like 1-2 weeks.
It’s only a little bit of a deal compared to a 256GB refurbished ($319) which I would say is the closest comparison. But it’s available, which refurbished often isn’t. If you trust it to be in good condition I’d say it’s a reasonable price especially with upgraded storage.
