The Steam Deck OLED is just a refresh, both models will still get updates ofc, even if they didn’t its just a PC you can do what you want with it.

Install emudeck, it has an option for installing it in the main menu.

Yes you can return under warranty if its not working properly, like every device.

I would just spend the extra for official, you know its designed for the deck and gets firmware updates from valve.

Def PS5 for AAA games, but you can use the deck for emulation or older games that go for mega cheap in steam sales.

You can download roms on the deck itself if you want.

And you’ll need a bios pack for certain systems.

Mine never turns off.
