And yet, we got a rapist in office, and the emolument clauses haven’t been applied for his innumerable acts of corruption. I would much rather have a good naturalized citizen as my president, than a shitty homegrown.

The rich don’t understand the purpose of food, having never missed a meal in their lives.

Military grade Teslas? I support ICE having those.
DOOR LOCKS, SIZZLE

It really depends on whether a president gets two terms, and now the possibility of a civil war. Senate is good if you expect normalish times…which is iffy. I think the midterms will decide what tack AOC and friends will follow.
If it were possible, I wouldn’t mind Sanders being the 2028 candidate, if he still has a sound mind and the conditions allow for a peacetime president. Setting aside age, I kinda worry that he lacks sufficient hostility to prosecute the Epstein class - because he is a gentle dude, IMO.

That’s fair. IMO, the presidency is more important in this political environment, since setting the direction and tone of the nation is important.
It sucks that we don’t have lots of a high-profile progressives, because the spread of competent and fiery people is a bit too thin. Our agenda shouldn’t have tradeoffs about who is best for what.

Aside from lacking apparent credentials, I think Ilhan Omar would be a good wartime president. She wanted to punch the bastard that squirted at her, which is the right response to Republican jackasses.
The age calls for Teddy and Franklin Roosevelts: People willing to get into the fight, and contend with the issues of their times.

Ah yes, my machine spirit will continue posting against the Trump Regime long after I died while fighting the kakistocracy.
What? That’s against the TOS?!

Personally, I think Kamela’s biggest issue was the lack of primaries. Any candidate shoved into running when the elections are halfway done, are going to have a massive issue with recognition and being ‘proven’ for the role. A primary is both a filter and an advertising event.

Personally, what I am hoping for is a ticket with AOC as president, and Mark Kelly as vice. He can help AOC with military issues, while she can guide the nation towards some flavor of Democratic Socialism.
I think we will see a civil war, so we definitely need a military expert in a major role. Kelly should do nicely.

I don’t think the military will stop the Trump Regime, at least not without several years of a 2nd American Civil War.
As with ACW1, what we could see is lots of military people moving around to find like-minded people. So we will have something like 40% of a given military branch working for the good guys, another 35% for the Regime, and the rest being neutral, or doing their own thing.

I think most of the Coast Guard will turn on the Trump Regime when the time comes. No military likes their own being abandoned to die, because that sets the tone for everyone in the rank and file.

Personally, I like to buy crates of Bibigo rice bowls from CostCo. You just toss them into the microwave for a minute and thirty seconds, vio’la, you got carbs to go with whatever you pair it with.

I don’t like America, at least not the one that I live in. What I want is a better America, based on socialist ideology and direct democracy.

My thought process is very different from the Orange Man, thank you very much. While I obviously would have to ask experts in this hypothetical scenario about what resources former territories and Cuba would need, my focus is three things:
1: Allow these lands to become prosperous for their people’s benefit. This is regardless of whether they become part of the Union as States, or as independent countries. People should live a decent life. Either way, mutual trade is a keystone.
2: Try out different structures of authority for resources and services in each different socialist State. Boring but important stuff, like how many departments are needed to distribute resources, checks and balances, anti-corruption measures, ect. Assuming a presidency of two terms, it is only 8 precious years to figure out a good way forward. Thus, A/B/C testing.
3: If a good model of practical social democracy is developed, try to spread it, and standardize the socialism for the testing States.

I have a feeling that your hypernationalism isn’t to help people, but rather to lash out at the United States. You don’t look any different from the Republicans in my nation.

How does your position help Cuba?

I said “offer to join the union”. If rejected, then America should simply end embargoes and all of that crap. In any case, I suspect you have an issue, because you don’t want Cuba to have opportunities of any kind. People are being hurt on Cuba, because they have been denied prosperity by selfish dickheads who can’t think of a better future.

Where do you think remodeling gets started? Having the US being jealous of Cuba’s prosperity would do much to help convince the states to become better.

Maybe they can get a deal for electric cars and solar with China? Cuba is one of those places that could use an 800lb gorilla in their corner.
They, however, hunger for brown people to sell off. Give them a tip, and have traffickers disappear. Forever. I promise, the trees will appreciate the fertilizer.
