Mir wäre auch ein einziger Staat Recht, solange dieser vollwertige Menschenrechte und Schutz für alle dort lebenden Menschen garantiert. Es gibt manche, die ein föderales System für so einen Staat vorschlagen. Damit kann man vielleicht die unterliegenden religösen Spannungen aushebeln. Das würde sowohl israelische Kantone, insofern einen jüdischen Schutzraum, wie auch arabische Kantone, also einen lang ersehnten palästinensischen Staat, garantieren.

Das sind aber leider alles nur Luftschlösser.

Abseits der Dokumentendiskussion in Sheikh Jarrah löst aber eine Rückgabe der Grundstücke die Problematik nicht. Wenn man Grundstücke zurücktransferiert, die den Leuten vor 1948 gehört haben, dann ist auch die ganze Diskussion um Jaffa und das Absentee Property Law hinfällig. Dann müssten viele Palästinenser:innen Unmengen an Land zurückerhalten, es würde Chaos auslösen und den Staat unterm Strich in Frage stellen. Und dann ist die Frage schon gerechtfertigt ob mit zwei Maßen gemessen wird, das Absentee’s Property Law existiert in der Praxis halt nur in eine Richtung.

Bezüglich der Miete: Die wird je nach Fall auch an die staatlichen Stellen gezahlt, aber durch voranschreitende Gentrifizierung ist die teils auch nicht mehr zu stemmen. Durch den sozio-ökonomischen Nachteil den arabische Bevölkerungsgruppen in Israel oft haben, können viele nicht mehr auf ihr Recht in diesen Häusern zu leben bestehen. Selbst wenn diese ihrer Familie schon länger “gehören”, als der Staat Israel existiert.

Ich finde es schwierig Westjordanland = Gazastreifen = Ausland zu sagen. Zumindest das Westjordanland steht größtenteils unter israelischer Kontrolle. Das sowohl administrativ als auch sicherheitstechnisch. Dieser 5-Jahre Deal ist jetzt schon fast 30 Jahre alt, das Westjordanland ist fester Bestandteil der israelischen Wirschaft und Gesellschaft. Dort der israelischen Regierung keine Mitverantwortung für das Geschehen zu übertragen finde ich zu kurz gegriffen.

Was das umliegende Ausland angeht, das sind ja primär Diktaturen, failed states oder Theokratien. Deren Ungerechtigkeiten sind auch nicht mit irgendwelchen Verweisen auf Israel oder den bösen Westen zu entschuldigen. Diese Länder oder die Hamas will ich aber auch nicht mit Israel gleichsetzen, welches sich ja (zumindest aktuell noch und natürlich palestinänsische Gebiete ausgeschlossen) Demokratie nennen kann. Mit diesen Staaten sollte z.B. Deutschland meiner Meinung nach auch keinen Handel, besonders keine Waffenxeporte, betreiben. Trotzdem kann man den Umgang mit Menschen in Israel, der Westbank, oder dem Gazastreifen daraus nicht aus der Kritik ausschließen, ein zweites Unrecht macht das erste nicht wieder gut.
