Everytime i need a good reminder of how much I hate the Spuds, Reddit shows me a “post you may like” from 2 years ago on COYS where loads Of their fans were cheering Gabriel and White going out with season ending injuries
Thank you Reddit
Really have to commend the culture in the club.
You never hear a peep out of Nketiah, ESR, Nelson, Elneny, Tomiyasu, Vieira over lack of playing time.
Our star players sign contracts with little to no media BS or trying to leverage other offers to handicap the team. That comes with the respect the club also reciprocates to them, of course
We don’t do shady things a la Hazard that come to light later on.
Seeing sagas like Sancho, Mbappe, etc over the years makes you really proud to be a fan of this club
Just a separate observation regarding VAR… I find it interesting that in football a common complaint is that the review takes too long. In the NHL, we can have 8-10 minute long reviews which are usually when things are deemed “inconclusive” (clear and obvious error but less fancy)
I guess It’s a matter of personal preference but I prefer they take their time and do the due diligence than rush a review and ruin a game… I always find the commentator saying “VAR is doing a check… check complete” so quickly to be odd
I understand football is different because of running time, but would a time stoppage for VAR checks be completely out of the question?
The takes after every draw or loss of “well if the refs hadn’t cost us the game or Mudryk got a lucky goal we would have won” excusing the poor performance of the team are frustrating to see.
This team needs to play better. We didn’t play well enough to win for 70 minutes. There were also moments Chelsea should have put us away, one being Palmers steal off Raya and one being Nico Jackson’s miss
At the end of the day, if we want to win the league majority of games should not come down to 1 moment. We need to be ruthless and put games away.
United was a last minute winner. Had garnacho been a half foot later in his run it was an L.
City was a deflection goal that we scored very late.
You need to be lucky to be good, but we haven’t played a single game this season outside of PSV and Bournemouth where we dominated like a title challenger should. We’ve been as lucky as we have been unlucky.
I wonder how much these massive new contracts we gave to our best players last season has been affecting our slow-ish start to the season
We’re undefeated but we don’t look nearly as dangerous offensively as we did last year.
If you want to gain more appreciation for Arsenal, watch other teams try to defend and play out the back
We are truly spoiled with not only team cohesiveness but individual talent on this team
