I know, I know…the evolutionary model of new automakers is to hit early adopters with a hyper expensive first model to all financial runway to design and build a more economical one to sell in greater numbers.
But funding has never been Lucids issue. The Saudis keep plowing billions more into their little pet project. Lucid had all the time and space it needed to make this their first vehicle.
They would be selling a hell of a lot more vehicles today had they gone that route.
The range is the differentiator. If it actually gets 400+ miles of range at about 80K, it may create some real competition with the Volvos, Rivians, BMW and Audi EVs either already on the market or coming in 2024
