Spurs’s start is impressive but I wouldn’t get carried away just yet. They’ve only played one game against top opposition (which they won under dubious circumstances) and their other wins have come against relegation fodder and bottom half teams.
Also -and the fact that they can focus fully on the league with no Europe is hiding this- but they’re a Son/Maddison/Romero/Bissouma injury away from disaster, as their squad is thin and the drop off in quality from starters to backups is drastic.
I do expect them to finish top 4 this season, but the best they can hope for is something similar to Arsenal last season: brilliant start; top of the league for most of the season; drop off towards the end to finish in second place behind City.
