  • Black Ops 3 has a splitscreen mode, primarily for zombies but I’m pretty sure it works for multiplayer and campaign too. Ideally you’d want to get it with zombies chronicles because that’ll give you a bunch of classic maps, but even with absolutely zero DLC you can get a TON of custom maps.

I BELIEVE Portal 2 has splitscreen support on PC? Picking up the new Lego Star Wars is a good time, too, and Left 4 Dead 2 has a couple of relatively easy-to-install mods that enable a splitscreen mode too.

  • If you don’t already have it, get some Terraria in there. Plays great on the SD and gives you an absurd amount of content for its insanely low price.

And whenever I recommend video games I inevitably end up going here, so… Hey, get Outer Wilds while you’re at it. It doesn’t have a ton of replay value as its progression is entirely focused on your knowledge so once you know what you’re doing that’s kind of it, but it’s a literal life-changing sort of experience if you let it get its hooks in you.

Black Ops 3 with zombie chronicles gets you a ton of solid maps, and because it’s on Steam instead of consoles you also get the advantage of the HUGE backlog of workshop maps.

Sonic Mania is only $5 and is still a blast, even to me, and I’m not a particularly big Sonic guy.

Finally, pick up Risk of Rain 2 and Risk of Rain Returns. Some of the best roguelikes on the market right there.
