Don’t keep a lot on your car keychain… any extra weight causes the key and the cylinder to wear out much faster… Especially when people have a bunch of keys and a lanyard or something hanging off of your car key while it’s in the cylinder

Yes it will create back pressure at the engine giving low power. Bend it back open as best you can
