I agree, the idea that the lives of ‘women and children’ are more valuable that those of not women and children is contrary to the premise of what i see as one of my moral axiom: all humans are created equal, every life is sacred. Including lives of people that do more harm than others. care for those we despise is a testimony of our morality. an analogy: It is easy to respect the value of a puppys soul and easy to decline it for a wolve that maimed one of your sheep.
