It’s not common to see a rear main seal leaking on your engine. Not sure if you have the v6 or the 4 cylinder engine but the oil pan gasket is a very common leak on these and also the main seal as well. If I’m remembering correctly, in order to remove the main seal and replace it, you also have to remove the oil pan.

I can see that job costing around $1000 maybe

Take some pictures of the engine bay and if you can get underneath, take a picture of the oil pan and post it here
