Except the wolves got better with Conley. I’d say Dlo is the better player overall but Conley is a better leader, floor general and a more consistent shooter.
Dlo should be a lot better player for how much skill he has but he doesn’t have a great history of knowing when to push his own shot vs creating for others. LA probably wanted him since he’s more skilled and LeBron should make the pecking order very obvious for him.
Yeah KAT didn’t play a single game fully healthy last year. He was hospitalized with an infection before camp and lost a lot of weight. Came back had the calf strain while figuring out the Rudy pairing missed a bunch of games and then tries reintegrating with the team while getting his nba conditioning to a level he’s never had to be at before so he could play the 4.
This year he had the offseason to rest up the calf, got conditioning for FIBA and a healthy training camp with Gobert.
In addition to what everyone else said. You develop players while tanking and then every player that comes through during the tank and outperforms their contract is either a valuable trade piece that will bring back more picks or a player that could contribute to the teams depth in the future.
