If you haven’t already, check out the ProtonDB page for Control for more information on how it might run, settings to consider, etc.
I’m in Germany, and my order went through at 19:19.
As of yesterday, GLS tracking said it’d be delivered today, but today the tracking doesn’t show a date. It was last in Dortmund at around 21:00 last night. At this point, I’m guessing it’ll be tomorrow now. It’d be nice if the GLS tracking had been updated at least once in the last ~14 hours.
Surprisingly well! I’ve only played the demo, so I’m not sure if anything has changed since the release, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it looked and ran.
It has Platinum rating on ProtonDB.
Such a great game!
If I had to choose one, based on my use of the Deck, I’d probably say Dead Cells.
That said, it’s hard to ignore Hades, Slay the Spire, Persona 5 Royal, Dredge, Sea of Stars, Into the Breach, the two main SteamWorld Dig games, Children of Morta, and both Portal games. That list could keep going, but they are a few more off the top of my head.
This thread reminds me of the good times when we were all comparing order times of the original Steam Deck. Just this time, we have to wait a few days and not months.
I haven’t exactly ditched my PC for the Steam Deck, but it kind of feels that way. I sold my PC before a big move, and ended up getting a Steam Deck soon after. Since then, my plans to build a new PC seem to have been put on hold. Despite having other current-gen consoles as well, the Steam Deck has become my go-to gaming device. I don’t bother with AAA games on it, but I’ve been flying through my backlog on it, and that’s worked really well for me.
