Osi would be my first choice for a 9 upgrade.
This graph shows the duality of how impressive Arteta has been and also why people are complaining our games are boring.
The defensive performances are outstanding and the xG for is incredibly stable - however - the xG for is stable at the lowest level it’s been in his post-100 game period.
Would be nice to bump that up a bit now.
The death of Ramsdale hits hard man.
Because he’s batshit insane and not in the good way.
Odegaard over saka would probably be better. Alexis and Henry either wing with creativity behind.
Can anyone give me a rationale argument for why Everton gets done but city and Chelsea don’t.
Currently VAR is an assistant ref and is only meant to advise the on field ref if they have made a clear and obvious error.
Would you prefer VAR can overrule the ref if an incorrect decision is made? In other words removing the clear and obvious part.
Odegaard for scale
Why have you done this
His mother named him Benjamin innit
Cruelest fate for Chelsea would be to beat City and get their hopes up.
Not saying I agree with this but VAR will not rule on a subjective decision if the ref had clear view of the incident and made a decision.
Handball is subjective by the rules - it depends on arm position, depends on state of play, depends on it denies etc. - this means that it’s outside of VARs scope to make a decision if the ref has seen it because there’s no way to say it’s a clear and obvious error on a subjective decision.
Before I get downvoted I am not for a second saying this makes sense and is how the game should be played. I’m just saying this is what PGMOL will say.
The look Saliba has when he looks around. Hes like oh you guys gonna die tonight.
They’re not really like for like. Partey definitely gives us something different there. Our vertical progression with Rice on the pitch is noticeable worse.
Not that Rice is a worse player - but Rice is an excellent 8.
The solution is pretty obvious - it’s just that Partey is unfortunately injured.
Going to be harsh on Ramsdale and say that you want that sort of game as an out of favour keeper - you want something to do. If it was a breeze and he didn’t have any opportunity to make some saves and prove himself that’s worse.
So the team absolutely did not let him down - he was poor and that’s unfortunate
The league cup has never been a trophy for the first team to win.
It’s not about not caring - it’s about the fact that our second string team isn’t good enough to win it and it’s not a competition you play the first 11 in.
If Nelson can claim a place ESR definitely can - largely up to whether his luck with injuries allow him the game time he needs or not which is the sad reality of football.
If he wasn’t injured he should be playing ahead of Kai.
Isn’t it more likely that he’s also been injured.
