My 2019 330i and 2016 340i both have had bad fuel tank breather valves (common issue). Besides that, I’ve had no other issues. This issue was covered under warranty in both instances.

Not a dumb question at all. I’d suggest keeping it in the garage while you’re away. Letting it cure for a week in the garage is perfect! Won’t have to worry about the weather conditions impacting the curing process.
I don’t use it at all to be honest. I forgot it existed until a few months ago 😂
