As much as I agree that this penalty is ridiculous, if I was Everton I wouldn’t be appealing.

In a season with a horrendous set of promoted teams, this deduction only puts them 2 points adrift of safety with over 2/3 of the season left. There’s a serious risk if they appeal and lose, the deduction will get applied next season instead which could put them in serious trouble.

I think take the 10 points now.
