1·3 days agoConsole can be good value but paid online and no physical discs is destroying that. And thats the only thing consoles have… As a tech enthusiast a pc just does so many things that aren’t possible on a console including gaming related and not its not even a contest

5·4 days agoyes in most games i just want freesync to work but my most played games are cs2 and overwatch i r un both easily at 400+ fps on my 240hz monitor and thus i want no kind of vrr involved and jsut the direct frame output to my monitor as quickly as possible. At this high fps tearing isnt really visible anyway its just about the latency

2·4 days agosounds good but in my case i want tearing, at high fps its hard to see anyway and any kind of sync introduces latency, vrr is great but i specifically want minimum latency meaning tearing and no sync
Think so but previous ge releases also.added a bunch of controller support in general so you might not even need it

3·4 days agoIf you’re wondering about my issues with tearing, I did as the wiki said, enabled in global rendering config and added the window rules, this didn’t work for some games but using it with gamescope did, this resulted in me getting rid of all the reasons that hyprctl monitors named why tearing was blocked but even then it just continued saying “next frame not torn” with no explanation. I gave up.

1·4 days agoI dislike Miniminuteman, i just dont like his style and humor but most importantly I find his videos kind of pointless circlejerk, they do not target anyone who actually believes in pseudohistory they do not try to teach or convince them of something else, it just makes fun of them. He even discourages any actual action besides that. There’s nothing malicious about it or anything but idk just think he should be doing a lot more and to a higher standard

Thats my post so yeah thats how secure it is right now, I have authelia infront of everything, besides some admin only thing which are only accessible over wireguard. I’d like to look into VLANS but have no hardware for it and it seems expensive

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Is Authelia enough without fail2ban or crowdsec?English
4·4 days agoIt will not be a 100 times better than this, you’d need the vpn setup already on every client, how could others ever connect to it? Its also just cool to have a domain and expose it properly, I already use a vpn for admin only things

Casual Conversation@piefed.social•Which foreign language do you find easy to read & write but difficult to pronounce when trying to speak it?English
1·5 days agoTurkmen is relatively easy to read and pronounce in my head as a Turkish speaker but man actually speaking it is impossible, to an average Turkish speaker Turkmen pronouncing sounds drunk and mumbled like your tongue is paralyzed

3·5 days agosure but if there would be an exploit in authelia would f2b even help, isnt the way it works that it blocks mostly spam and known bad traffic? If its already known by filterlists i feel its safe to assume its patched in authelia
