This looks super sick. I’m going to go look up how to do this with bleach pens. I’ve been getting in to runes lately, so some Viking inspired art might be fun. ᚱᚢᚾᛁᚱ

Anas@feddit.dkto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your favorite games that you never see mentioned anywhere?3·16 days agoI love the little known MMO Dofus. Ive been playing it on and if for almost 20 years now. Lots of very different classes, gathering and manufacturing, and a very lovely art style. The combat is grid & turn based, kind-of like Final Fantasy tactics.
A trick to get better results (I.e. without suggestions etc) is to add “before:2026” TP your search string. This filters out a lot of the garbage, and leaves you with search results alone. I somehow feel the need to do it most times now, if I’m searching for something very specific.

Anas@feddit.dkto People Twitter@sh.itjust.works•Why are tiny pieces of plastic so expensive?English12·3 months agoThis thread has been interesting. There are claims both that Lego bricks are made to better tolerance, and the opposite, they they are worse. So which is it?
As I understand it, Lego moved their production out of country for a bit, but returned it because tolerances could not be met. So who are making these better, or equally good pieces now?
Full disclosure: I’ve 3d printed a few Lego bricks now, and some certainly came out better than others - but I did manage to get some fully adequate 4x2s printed. Now as for the angle supports for my Lego wall… Not so much unfortunately.
Anas@feddit.dkto Europe@feddit.org•Should English stay the lingua franca of Europe?English51·4 months agoTwo views on what language to chose: The language most spoken in Europe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_speakers_in_Europe The language most spoken worldwide: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_total_number_of_speakers
So it looks like it might be either German, Spanish or French, depending on how you would assess it. No surprises there. Now to convert everybody, not so easy ;-)
I loved my Nokia 7380 art deco phone. It had a screen hidden behind a mirror surface, a rotary dial instead of buttons and even a little fabric flap like a pair of jeans or something. It was so widely different to anything else out there. I wish it still worked on contemporary wireless services, but alas. It was a pain to text on but with voice messages becoming a thing, it didn’t matter too, too much. I would probably go back if I could.
