I was formerly a Samsung owner, always had the latest Samsung flagship starting back when the S2 came out. Switched over to Apple when the iPhone 13 was released, not really because I wanted to, but to have the integration with everyone else in my family (other than my wife, who is the one holdout).
TBH, I liked the Samsung phones more. I have more weird crashes and quirks with my iPhones (currently on a 15 pro max) than I ever did with my Samsung phones. But if I switch back to Samsung, I miss out on the easy integration with everything my kids do, on the integration with tech-unsavvy family members. So I stick with the iPhone.
And, no, it isn’t an option to switch my kids. There’s a real thing in the US with kids being ostracized a bit online socially for not having an iPhone, and I’m not doing that to them.
Anyway – you will NOT regret the phone itself, it’s a bit of an upgrade really. But you may regret not being able to use iMessage features, FaceTime, easy note/reminder sharing, etc.
