Yes, h. pylori can be the cause of ulcers, but it also affects many other things.

Obviously you should talk to your doctor about it, but as someone who’s been dealing with different health issues/symptoms, it could be many things. The ones that aren’t directly linked to heart issues, off the top of my head: various stomach issues (gastritis, GERD/acid reflux, h. pylori infection), vagus nerve issues (sometimes caused by stomach problems) that trigger anxiety and panic attacks, costochondritis, even things like mental trauma response can cause wild physical symptoms.

5·4 days agoI do and don’t at the same time. I loved the classic hardware T9, but it gave me carpal tunnel.
When I dream my late dog who passed unexpectedly, it’s often very distressing, because I somehow know she will leave me again and I need to protect her. I usually end up crying in sleep.

8·6 days agoThere’s a difference between “I thought I was infertile” and “I literally don’t have my uterus and ovaries”. In these situations it comes off as patronizing because there’s “no way” a woman who doesn’t have her reproductive organs knows what she’s talking about. It’s one of those things that adds to the massive pile of medical mistreatment of women, and that’s why it’s a touchy topic for many.

6·6 days agoPregnancy test for MRI? I had one early this year (I hated it) and I certainly did not have to take a pregnancy test. Or do you mean pregnancy test in general? Because that one pisses the fuck out of women who absolutely 100% know they aren’t pregnant (haven’t had sex, don’t have their reproductive organs anymore, other possible reasons).
My home country has taken it to another level. Politicians doing their usual corruption thing. Worsening living conditions force people to move to other countries in search of a better life. The ruling right wing party’s “solution” has been to import slave labor from a poor South Asian country, while refusing to fix any existing issues (rent and grocery prices, health care falling apart, wages not keeping up with rising costs, etc.). But I’m sure they’re happy that the useful idiots now blame the immigrants for XYZ instead of the government fucking everyone over.

9·6 days agoIt’s an extremely dumb mentality. In my country (mostly countryside) people just get rid of the puppies and kittens in awful ways. Put them in a bag and throw them in the river, strangle them, give them to vets to put them down or what my late neighbor did bury them alive right after they’re born. It’s sickening.

6·7 days agoI’m utterly shocked people in my home country are finally showing up in the streets. Croatians have been quite passive for decades, letting our politicians rob us blind. Thompson can go fuck himself, but so can all the people I personally know who went to his concert. It’s genuinely pathetic.

6·8 days agoYeah, many people have chronic illnesses that either cause pain or drain energy, and it becomes hard or impossible to remain active and pain-free. Ever since developing mine in late 20s, I’m far less judgemental and more understanding of people’s situations.

Maybe it’s a joke because we’re in the shitposting community, but on the serious note COVID19 pandemic is very much not over. Fatality rate is lower, but people still get COVID and millions have and are going to get long COVID and other lasting effects of the infection.
