Every time that I try to download large files, the download speed drops top ~500kb/s when the file gets to ~2.13gb. It happens in every way that i have tried, with various files and servers. I have searched for a long long time and various places and can’t find anything. Does anyone know what cause and/or how to solve it?

Thank you in advance and sorry if this question doesn’t belong here

depends on your target device…sounds like a buffer is filling (giving the appearance of a higher download speed than the target disk can support) and a consequent slowdown when full.

happens to me especially with usb flash drives or some 2.5 laptop disks.

Are downloading/writing the data to some old disk with a file system like FAT32? Then you may have a maximum file size limit around 2GB, and the system will stop writing once it reaches that limit.
