In a previous career life I amassed 30+ GB of English second language and early childhiod education materials. Primarily PDF’s of printable materials and student workbooks. As you can imagine, 30gb of PDF’s is an immense amount of content.

My goal was to have everything I would need to open a K-12 school in the jungle if I had a USB drive and a printer.

However at this point I never plan to return to teaching and most of my teacher friends are also out of teaching.

Anyone have experince “re-homing” a hoard or finding a good caretaker for your unused hoard?

Yes, torrent this on as many trackers as possible, and advertise it on boards where you think people would be interested.

I would find this useful. I donate to an NGO in Bangladesh and people in the country are technologically illiterate. Their English education is also useless because students who go to English speaking schools can’t have a basic conversation with foreigners. I can put this stuff on cheap $30 tablets and take a bunch with me the next time I go.

Similarly, but the NGO is in Uganda. I’d be interested as well. The NGO is focusing on education, this would be highly beneficial to kids and well as adults coming to the communal library!

If everything in it is legally shareable, I can take care of it. Optimize all files losslessly, organize them if they’re not already, and seed the torrent for a couple of months. Can you upload it to some good service? Mega.nz has a free tier of 50gbs, although I’d prefer Google Drive if you can use it

If there are any language magazines in there I will rehouse them on Magazedia happily. Just send me a DM on here and I can give you a folder to drop them in.

Linguist and hoarder here. I am currently conducting research on ESL and kids with dyslexia/autism. If you do make this available, I would most likely get a ton of utility out of it. Thanks!

Yes please upload it as a torrent. I know a couple of places who would find this stuff really useful!

I’d love to have this as a training dataset to generate educational material.

    Post a magnet link.

I wouldn’t mind adding this collection to my own, an already hefty 4TB of learning materials, mostly in the IT/programming, History and Math areas.
