I visited the Emirates a couple of days ago. I just wanted to take a walk around the outside of the stadium, see the statues, take some photos and visit the club shop. I spent a couple of hours there in total. I’m English but have been living in. Amanda for the last 12 years and don’t get back nearly enough. I desperately wanted to go to the Sheff Utd game on Saturday but I wasn’t able to get tickets
Looking for a job for months at this point. Man this is really mentally draining. But at least I’ve met really nice girl recently!
Mate just keep applying and slogging and you’ll find something, it’s hard and demoralising but you need to persevere, keep interviewing and you will find the right place
Im in the same boat. I’ve had a nice chunk of interviews, all of them ended with “we decided to go for another candidate with more adequate experience”. Except for one company that just stopped hiring people from the role I postulated whatsoever. I’m like a few days from grabbing an unpaid internship and working half time on a coffee shop.
Joined a gym, haven’t trained in 6months. I’ve been walking a lot and my face has gotten smaller, I’ve lost all my muscle mass. But the newbie gains will be fun again.
Has anyone conquered wrist tendonitis? It’s so annoying and I would appreciate tips
Brace, stop using it and wait until it heals.
Girlfriends are helpful ;)
I absolutely love fried rice but it’s too unhealthy
Maybe try cooking it yourself with the ingredients you want?
Unhealthy how? Too oily?
Absolutely hate summer. So fogging uncomfortable with all the sweating and overall dry atmosphere.
That sucks. On the other hand, winter is starting here in India and night temperature has dropped over 4°C over the past couple of weeks. Becomes difficult to go out late nights
I suppose balanced is the best weather. But between the two, I think I’d go with too cold than too hot
I have a fourth date tomorrow, I really like her but don’t feel the spark that everyone talks about. Is that bad?
The spark might not be as important as compatibility. Do you want the same things out of the relationship as her, do your long term life goals align with hers and most importantly, are you happy being with her and she with you
Honestly I would say no spark is not great…how’s the attraction? I’m not with my old partner anymore but I do remember that when we first met even a hug would send this feeling of warm electricity flooding through my body.
MIL is in town so I’ll be at my supporters club watching this weekend. Hope we can see some rotation. Man lords of the fallen is kicking my ass
What’s everybody listening to these days? I’m vibing on a cassette tape of ‘Stop Making Sense’ in my truck, would love to hear what you other gooners are jamming out to.
Mitekiss - Crate Six Seven
Ólafur Arnalds - Island Songs
Hobo Johnson - The Rose of Hobo Johnson
Lamb - Lamb
Brand New - Science Fiction
Penya - Super Liminal
Lately I’ve been listening to Heavy Heavy a lot. Also Epire State Bastard with Dave Lombardo drumming.
Dance Gavin Dance -War Machine
Latest Oliver Tree album (Alone in the crowd) is nice to play in the background if you like pop
Also I’m listening to “Tragic Love Songs To Study Vol. 5” by Duckboy. It’s great if you’re into early 2000’s pop punk
I am into Country music these days. Plug in the Country Hotlist from YT music and do my office stuff. Pretty pleasing to the ears and the pace/tone helps me focus on work
Yesterday I met up with an online friend of over 4 years for the first time. I did an escape room with he and his friends, then went back to their holiday let and played a bunch of board games. :)
I’ve always considered myself quite intelligent. However, it only recently occurred to me, at 40 years old, that Mary Poppins was singing about mixing a spoonful of sugar INTO the medicine, and that children in those days weren’t being fed sugar by the spoonful to take away the bad taste.
Now I am questioning everything else that I think I know.
I just had to verbalise this somewhere.
I think the medicine is poured onto the sugar (on the spoon) if that helps?
In the most delightful waaaaaaaaaaay!
I understand. This is just like the other week when a pigeon had pooped on me, and I shaked my fist at it.
Then fantasised about purchasing a jetpack, and seeing how it liked it.
I had to to tell someone else to verbalise it. Sadly, she wasn’t as understanding.
it’s just supercalimustafiexpialidocious
Just caught up on Jujutsu Kaisen since i was like 5 episodes behind. Jesus Christ.
I had a bad feeling about the production issues so ended up binging and catching up with the manga.
Cat got stomatitis so the vet removed all of his teeth except his front four canines on Wednesday. He seems better already, but his mouth is a hot bloody mess.
This is after I had a root canal on Tuesday and was pleased that I didn’t have to have the tooth pulled.
Life has a cruel sense of humor.
That sounds horrible. I wish you and your cat the very best in recovery 💗
How old is cat? Wife’s chihuaha had no teeth before he passed, floppy tongue sticking out, poor sods.
He’s approx 2 years and 7 months old, so long life ahead. Don’t know his exact age as I rescued him off the street (he had conjunctival eye infection so nearly lost his sight.
Yeah, that’s why the vet left the four canines in. So his tongue wouldn’t keep flopping out.
If the condition doesn’t improve as a result, those will eventually have to come out too.
Sorry to hear that, hope you both get better mate
Thanks man. Cracked my tooth on a piece of ninja chicken bone which led to a rando abscess. It’s cleared up in the gums but has very quickly (seemingly within 4 days) spread to my jaw. Antibiotics should clear it up.
Dentist earning a down payment on his new car cleaning it out and treating it.
Orion seems okay, and is mostly himself. Just lethargic and weird oral discharges. He’s eating and playing though but needs to get used to not relying on his teeth. I think he’ll be okay, and I hope the dental removal alleviates the issue.
His gum line already appears pink though.
Both my cats lost their teeth and they were fine, they just use their gums :)
Guys I had a game for my schools u17 yesterday (moved up from 16) and after the game some bloke asked to talk to my mum long story short this guy was a scout from Norwich and asked me to take a trial tomorrow and I’m an absolute wreck the nervous feeling just won’t go away and I’ve been working so hard for this day but I keep thinking what if I fuck it up and everything I’ve worked for is all gone
Take a deep breath. Visualise yourself at the field doing what you do best, and trust yourself
Everyone involved knows the nerves youre feeling, they see it in basically every kid in your situation. Its so normal to them, so you dont need to worry about pretending to be totally at ease. Youll find yourself more at ease when youre in it, youll probably enjoy it. Just give it your best shot because its all you can do :)
Good advice from everyone else I just want to say, proud of you!
They better sign someone good this winter or next summer… I have an unexpected/last minute trip to London for the first time and basically just donated $40 for the Red membership just to be able to see no tickets available on the ticket exchange for the Burnley match… as an investor, I have higher expectations now. Use my money wisely. /rant
