Maybe you were expecting the best Rick and Morty episodes, and the result was just normal Rick and Morty episodes? I know some of the writers went to work on Loki. Did they come back? Plus, the heart of the show was Roiland and Harmon just bouncing ideas back and forth, so I’m not sure that’s happening any more.
The third episode at least felt not as pathetic and desperate, but still fell short of what it could’ve been.
