Oh shit I did not think that this would actually happen. Means that they’d be on -5 after 9 games having played almost half the games you’d put them as favourites in over the course of a season (Luton, Wolves, Fulham and Bournemouth at home, Sheffiled United away).
Makes you wonder what kind of punishment Man City will face in 5 years once that investigation has wrapped up (let’s be real it’ll be like a relatively small fine and a transfer ban).
Or perhaps the premier league is full of it, not sure why they’re the good guys when they’ve not backed it up in any way just because the hegemon is in their crosshairs
A long transfer ban would probably be more impactful than a lot of points deduction. You could give City a 50 point deduction and it would likely just mean one season without European football, a transfer ban would actually hurt.

It’ll probably be no punishment, their lawyers will drag it out until it’s too late to punish them
Nah it doesn’t work like that in this case
Narrator: it worked exactly like that in this case
At which point they’ve likely already won multiple Prems/CLs, and teams very rarely get stripped of titles
I mean, it still hasn’t.
