So we were having a debate with a friend. We did a random all time great team with an app and my team was Chris Paul, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Dirk Nowitzki. His team was LeBron, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone and Pat Ewing.

In my opinion it’s a close one due to the fact that each team has opposing pros and cons. We ended up debating on how we would have to coach the team in order to win. He told me that he would put Larry on Rodman because one can’t defend and the other can’t play offense.

My questions to y’all are the following :

Do you think Bulls Rodman has the capacity to post up prime Larry and score on him ?

If help comes from Malone or Ewing, does he have the ability to pass the ball to a player outside the 3 point line or slightly inside ? In that case players like Dirk or MJ have the complete ability to score.

Lastly, which team would win in your opinion ?

My answer is mine, because we have more spacing and more hardcore defence even though we lack height. I just don’t really know how to defend on LeBron unless Dirk defends on Malone or Ewing in which case Scottie will probably.

Thanks !

    Larry Bird can’t defend?

He was a very good team defender. Hell one of his most iconic plays is a defensive play. He wasn’t as good of a defensive player as Rodman but he was a positive on defense and not a negative.

Rodman wouldn’t be utilized as a post-up guy who it doesn’t matter. He’d be utilized in a similar way we saw Okogie be utilized today. He’d be effective at times.

Tbh and not being mean, this game just doesn’t seem productive for you and your friends since you guys don’t really know the players you drafted. Why not just use the players you guys know? Or mix in a couple of players you don’t know well. Or else it’s counter productive to actually learning the game. The discussions won’t be grounded, and might just be based on imaginations.
