For me it was the combination of terrible form and him acting like he was playing great. I see no problem with fans criticizing a player when he’s not playing well, nor do a see a problem with those fans later singing that same player’s name when he’s turning it around.

The abuse was more than just boos though. Death threats towards him and his family and even a bomb threat at his house are more than just criticism
