Not that I like the guy, I’m curious as to our thoughts on him.
I think he was a great anti-fascist revolutionary leader which ultimately degraded into dogmatic and opportunistic thinking, isolating Albania politically on the grounds of diverging ideologies.
I like how fervently he defended Stalin’s legacy in his writings and mannerisms. I dislike socialist Albania’s opportunistic relationship with China, and they really shit the bed when it came to the desperately needed proletarian internationalism at the time, doing little but isolating themselves from the socialist world in an attempt to stand atop the pedestal of being the most ideologically correct. Just dogmatism, even if I can understand their worries regarding the USSR and China’s thaw with Amerika.
