Did you notice an uptick in Larry Bird content this offseason?
Lebron and Jordan have multi-billion dollar media and apparel companies influencing and infecting the minds of older and younger fans alike. The further we get from the Bird era the further he seems to fade in the conversation. Bird has no voice, he is completely out of the spotlight. He has no sponsorship deals. He has no media conglomerates working tirelessly for him… so I took a stand and decided to rebel against the Nike Imperialism.
I spent a month this summer meticulously crafting and submitting the perfect Larry Bird propaganda post to r/nba and the results were way beyond what I could have expected.
I submitted 6 Bird related posts and all of them made it to the top link on the site. Combined, the posts received over 14,000 upvotes and 2 million views.
It seems, in the end, Bird is more popular than I thought, and, perhaps my entire operation was fruitless. But no, these are thoughts that Nike wants me to think. Next summer I will come back even stronger.
So with the season starting tonight my propaganda operation is officially over, but if you missed it or are curious you can check it out here:

Now hold on a second it looks like his next project is Kristaps Porzingis propaganda
