My pick is Anthony Edwards. He’s great, but people talking about MVP potential need to slow it down.

Hes gonna be great but i saw things like “3 time dpoy and first team all defense every year of his career” “could be a better version of giannis” hell even paul pierce recently said hes already a top 5 skilled player in the league. Like people are trying to overrate him already and he hasnt even played yet

That’s what the Kings thought about Marvin Bagley when he played at Duke.

He will be good but you are making him an all time great before he ever plays a regular season game. GTFO with this nonsense. Big men get more blocks during their rookie season and then players figure out their size and start playing around them better.

I love this subs perception of Wemby. Before the draft he was the greatest prospect ever, then he wasn’t even a better prospect than Zion, then he was going to change the league and be the GOAT defender, then he became a future bust due to him not being strong enough and now he is going to become the GOAT…

exactly. A prospect is exactly that. He has great potential. He may become good, he may become great. There is a really good chance he will be another injury prone young big man since he lacks strength for the position.

The only way to find out is to watch

I dont get how there is no understanding that players will get used to his length and blocks will stop coming as easily. Early in James Wiseman’s first season he was averaging almost 2 blocks a game. Players and teams figured him out. Same was true with Bol Bol and Marvin Bagley.

Big Men usually see a dip in blocks per game after their first season for this reason. Big men are super hit or miss. They are more injury prone and dude is going to get roughed up
