As a knicks fan that cried when we lost to spurs in the finals, and now a dad with a emotional little toddler that cries whenever our teams lose (NYer so it happens a lot) I relate to this so much. It’s crazy how having a kid reminds you of that emotion you felt for your teams before life beat it out you.
