I’m still me, 5’9, out of shape. But I discover I have this ability to score 2 points, anytime I have the ball in my hands and get get a shot off, backwards, granny style anything. It’s good. Now I’ve had a discussion with my friends. One says I wouldn’t get a contract, I believe I’m worth than minimum. I think my value would be coming into on games decided by a final possession. That should be able to shift the outcome of at least, The negatives? You may need to use fouls and timeouts to get me out of the game so I don’t instantly give that 2 points back. I’m short and slow so if I have an NBA player on me I would almost assuredly be denied the ball.

Catch and shoot midrange would be unstoppable. As long as you don’t have to dribble vs nba defenders you should be good. If you try to drive that shit getting snatched 100% of the time. You’d also have to train hard af on defense to get the most playing time

Every roster has a few guys who rarely play in games. Guaranteed 2 points in the last play of a close game is definitely worth more than these guys.

You don’t even understand your own hypothetical. If you come in for the last possession you will score 2 points no matter what. You can’t score 0 if you played. They can’t get a steal in the last play because you’d then have 0 points which is impossible. But nobody would give you a contract because nobody would discover your power

Yes you’re probably the MVP. Base on my understanding of the scenario you can always get the ball and your an automatic 2 on every possession. Your team would surround you with an all defense team. Assuming you won’t die playing 48 minutes. The strategy is to full court press and giving away dunks. Since the other team has to hit over 2/3 of its threes and every other shot to win. Paul Westhead comes out of retirement to coach.

If it’s only 2 points a game, the question is what the net rating is for the average 15th man. I assume it’s less than +2, so you get a contract. It’s easy to ensure you get your 2 a night - end of quarter in one of the 4 depending on situation, you’re in every night and your net rating is +2.

Yeah…Imagine knowing you’re probably gonna win or ice every single game that’s come down to one point either way with only seconds left if you can sub him in. Invaluable for title contender in the playoffs.

Just gotta get him in enough shape so he can actually get the ball to him lol

No contract. You wouldn’t even touch the ball in a situation where you would be useful. The worst defender in the league would be able to keep you from getting open even the slightest bit.

Handoffs. All you need is to get the ball in his hands. Then he can magically get the shot off.

This is hack able to make such a player effectively a max player.

LOL, no chance in hell a player averaging at most 2 points a game gets a max. He also isn’t fast enough to even get to the player with the ball first to get a handoff if an NBA player is fronting him. He isn’t entitled to that space.
