Shows just how tougher this season is going to be with everyone not underestimating us anymore … though the Fulham one hurt the most

We’ve started way too slow in most matches this season, only really reacting after going a goal down. Something is definitely up with the squad this season.

This…the current season isn’t an extension of the previous one. The last 2-3 seasons was the journey back to top 4. We’re a different team now in subtle ways, with the midfield change being the biggest difference. If timber was fit, the deviation would be larger. There’s also higher expectations and champions league in the mix. This season is the dawn of something new. By the end of it, we’ll either cement ourselves as trophy winners or chokers who make a lot of noise.

I’d much prefer an inverse to our form from last season. I’m fine with starting the season a little dodgy (if you can call 2nd in the table dodgy), but finishing the season firing on all cylinders once the team has gelled. It’d be nice to not collapse in April/May for a change.

It’s called we’re missing our best player. Aka partey. By far the most influential guy in the team. When he plays well, the whole team is a well oiled machine.

This ain’t last season. We have been worse other clubs have gotten better. Things never remain static. If you don’t improve you lose ground in this league

I’m probably jumping the gun but I’m sick and tired of the play style this season… Reminding me of the Emey days where we created nothing (without the being dominated part) all whilst clubs like spurs are flying. Odegaard? What’s happening to him?

It’s concerning because of the precedent of Liverpool in 2002-03 (unbeaten in first 12 league games, with 9 wins and 3 2-2 draws, but than placed 5th) but it is true our comeback at the bridge is the mark of a serious contender. Quantifying spurs’ seriousness as one is hard as they have faced us, Man U and Liverpool, but also “easy” teams like the NPTs (one of whom they trailed until stoppage time), Fulham and Bournemouth

Teams understand we thrive in space. This is virtually being shut out with every team playing a low block. The perfect player for this is partey who has either been injured or isn’t getting playing time
