It’s so interesting how managers are discussed. It all depends on PR. I was listening to the BBC podcast and some of the analysts were talking about something along the lines of Villa and Emery and if he is a elite manager because he makes players better despite failing at other clubs. Of course any supporter would want their team to have a clear identity and all that crap, but in a situation like this where the coach doesn’t have the players to implement his game models surely that manager has to be criticized for not making adjustments and putting players in positions to succeed. People praised the recruitment for getting that Hungarian left back but they also signed two injured players. Even the guys they got in January who saved them have looked like donkeys under this Spanish guy.
