    Same points as we had in Emery’s first season after the same games.

    I don’t remember us being that good before but checked the fixtures and after the opening two games we had a really easy run…

      Our metrics in Emery’s first 9 games was crazy. We were over performing xG by 8 goals already, we were essentially a midtable side somehow winning games every week

        Pretty sure we did? We played City and Chelsea in our first 2 matches (both losses) and won 4-2 against Spurs early on that season.

        That said - we weren’t playing that well tbh. Just the odd 1 or 2 good matches but our form looked unsustainable

        Well, yes. At least at that point we had played Chelsea away and City at home. We lost both, and beat Spurs a few weeks later in Nov.

        It wasn’t a comparison or negating what we’re doing now, just interesting

      League is on a whole different planet compared to then and we have played United, city, Chelsea and Spurs.

        We’d played Chelsea and City by then as well and we’re 4th, so teams were picking up points still.

        Again it wasn’t a comparison, just interesting
