If teams are going to play a high press against us, I’m kind of wondering if it’s even worth to pass the ball out of the back if we move the ball up the pitch so slowly and our keepers look so shaky.
It seems like it makes more sense to just start Havertz at the 8 and have him win long balls from Raya and have Rice gobble up all of the loose balls. That will also free up Odegaard from having to drop deep to move the ball up to pitch. Kind of like what City did to us at the Etihad last year.
