I watched the scouting video Arsenal Vision did on their Patreon yesterday evening.
Flip it was a very hard video to analyse. So so many clips of him being given a long pass from deep and him either holding it up well or him being fouled. Very difficult to analyse.
I do see him as an upgrade on Eddie ofc but is it worth a £60m+ fee just to upgrade on Eddie? I can’t see it.
I’d rather just buy Neto for that money. He looked a lot more exciting on that scouting video
Having Neto means we can rest Saka without needing to play one of our strikers out wide. Likewise if - and when - one of Saka and Martinelli go down with a knock, we can play him and free up someone like Trossard for tactical flexibility.
One thing I’m not seeing many people talk about is if you replace Eddie with Toney then you effectively get Saka cover in Jesus, who is actually very good on that right hand side. Assuming we start playing Toney as our main cf of course.

Yup, Neto is the one.
And it helps us potentially save money for a good striker when more of them are available (praying Sesko kicks on!)
I love Neto but isn’t he more of a winger? Looks like he plays both sides well, would be like another Trossard no?

Exactly - plus our main threat is our wide players
Agree with all of this. Clearly an upgrade on Eddie but not worth the mental fee that Brentford will ask

If it’s one or the other, a winger of course makes more sense but this opinion that Neto is a better buy than Toney on ability alone, is ridiculous.
Flip
Neto would be more expensive and he wouldn’t even start regularly
This is the thing, it’s just so hard to predict how he would perform in our system
Been saying this for a while. I certainly don’t want another Giroud who’s numbers are boosted by pens
Giroud can play in goal though
