This was one of the first games I watched after getting back into the sport after choosing Arsenal as a kid, and this game gave me the worst impression of how stunning the average goal was lol
I never seen a player with more amazing transformation than Ramsey.
Just a year before, he was one of the worst guys in the squad ( articles about celeb deaths when he scores)and in less than a year became an absolute monster. I ate a lot of shit that I spilled about him just a year before.
He was really promising before the leg break. I think the bad year(s) was related to his long recovery from that injury
Yep. For half a season, he was literally one of the top three box to box midfielders alive.
I’ll never forget the moment when he genuinely bodied Yaya Toure in a shoulder to shoulder challenge. It dawned on me then that he was better technically as well as athletically.
One of the few bright spots of our long exile in the desert. He’d be so good on this current team

Jeez, 10 years ago? Seems so recent. I went to the match with my mate who was visiting from Australia then we went out and ended up getting hammered on a pub crawl all day then as I got home late I had the urge to stay out just as a cab drove past, so I jumped in it and went to Fabric and ended up in the DJ booth with Terry Francis. Then sobered up suddenly at about 8am and went home (again).
Actually thinking about it, that really doesn’t sound like something I’d be remotely capable of these days so yeah, 10 years probably does sound right. 😂
