    I do find it kinda funny that he has a turn and tidy finish just a bit different from Eddie’s iconic turn and tidy finish when just months ago Arsenal were probably deciding which one of the two they were gonna sell.

      We have a buyback and he’s an arsenal academy grad, it’s got quite a lot to do with arsenal. You lot wouldn’t moan if he wasn’t American.

        Agree. The “Yank” hate is weird. Was the post made out of love for a former academy player or out of hate for a current (English) out of form striker? Idk. Being a Yank has nothing to do with this post.

        At least Xhaka had a history with our senior team, Balogun has appeared less than Lokonga, if we posting Balogun we should be posting every single ex academy kid

      Some of us care about the entire club, including Hale End. We don’t forget about players who were part of this club just because they didn’t score 100 senior goals. If you’re not that kind of fan, it’s fine, you can just scroll past these posts.

        This argument is so bad because we are only seeing Balogun highlights because he’s american not because of Hale End lol that’s just a lame justification. Akpo played similar minutes to Balogun and he tore up the Championship last season and now he’s at Ajax, where are his highlights every time he scores? I mean, you’re that type of fan no?

          Huh? People have posted Akpom highlights and career updates here, look at this from 8 months ago: Our boy Akpom killing it this season. Currently top scorer (16) in the Championship

          Notice how on that post there’s no one in their feelings about how he’s not an Arsenal player, just people happy for him as a former Hale End grad and a lot of upvotes.

          Now, I will admit Balogun gets posted more, but that’s because it was more recent and some people wish he was still here. And I’ll point out something else, which is that people get angry about posts of his goals because they think it makes Eddie look bad by comparison.

          But I don’t really care about any of that, just like seeing how players who fought for the club are doing elsewhere!
