Who would you rather have in this squad, Haaland or Mbappe?
Mbappe for me. He can do far more as a player and I think the only reason it’s a debate is because Mbappe is held back by his loyalty to PSG.
This is the Millenial version of Henry vs Van Nistelrooy and while the obvious answer is the guy who can score *and * create the actual answer is: both please.
Except Haaland is a better goalscorer than Mbappe. Can’t say the same for van Nistelrooy compared to Henry.
Haaland was amazing last season but people ahve worked out that if (and it’s a decently sized if) you can cut off the supply to him in the box he’s a passenger.
Van Nistelrooy was a better play than that albeit obviously in a world of less pressing and four four facking two
Yeah, I was literally thinking this to myself during the city game. Haaland is like a hyper athletic Van Nistelrooy.
