We’re a parasite that’s killing the host. It’s that simple.

We either get our shit together and figure out how to be sustainable or we go extinct.

The good news is that the host has seen much worse and will almost certainly recover. The bad news is that we’ll take potentially millions of species with us.

We live like parasites, but are just as natural as a squirrel or an ant. Sadly the society many of us live in is the real problem. Consumption and growth for the sake of making our masters a penny more is the real cornerstone of the issue. We’re forced into this system with no idea that an alternative exists, and for many when presented with that alternative they refuse to give up their creature comforts. Even now as I type this out I’m more than aware that the device I’m using is produced from slave labor and raping the environment. The electricity my house is using comes from coal. The food I eat is produced on understandable farming techniques and shipped in on massive pollution production vessels. It’s a system of destruction that we all are forced into.
